I am a filmmaker and cinematographer working at the intersection of cinema and performing arts. My practice focuses on dance film, performing arts film, documentary, 'behind the stage' narratives, experimental moving image, and visual documentation. I am particularly interested in how movement, performance, space, collective processes, and the unseen moments behind a performance can be transformed into cinematic narratives. Over the past several years, I have worked across different forms of audiovisual production, from dance and theatre documentation to short films, experimental films, photography, fashion films, and large-scale performing arts productions. These experiences have shaped my interest in moving beyond simply recording a performance toward finding ways in which cinematography can become part of the artistic process itself. Alongside my professional practice, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Artistic Creation at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, with a focus on film and cinematography. My current research explores Carl Gustav Jung’s analytical psychology as a conceptual approach to participatory documentary filmmaking within a performing arts production. I am interested in collaborations with filmmakers, choreographers, dancers, theatre practitioners, musicians, cultural institutions, researchers, curators, and performing arts organizations. Particularly projects that explore the possibilities between cinema, performance, and artistic research.
